Memorial Park

The professionals at Happy Tree LLC recently completed the arboricultural services tasks required for site preparation for Virginia Beach’s 5/31 Memorial Park. The city’s consulting arborist provided a well thought out tree preservation plan. The goal was to ensure the trees designated to remain on the finished site had minimal root zone disturbances during the removal and trimming operations. The arborists at Happy Tree were happy to comply and executed the plan without incident. The remaining trees had almost no impact to their root systems as a result of the work performed.

Thanks to some great crane operators, a 150-ton crane, and a 50 ton all terrain crane, our team and climbers rigged the trees so that they could be gently lifted out of the existing stand of trees and lowered off site, resulting in almost no impact or disturbance to the forest floor and the roots systems of the remaining trees.
